Children and Teens also enjoy Dance'Combo. As an instructor I really enjoy motivating the kids to show off their newly learnt skills and to learn more dance steps at home, from other studios, from tv or internet and to come and show off in class. Not only do these fun activities motivate a better self esteem, but children develope a passion for dancing and really enjoy themselves. A fun, stress free activity in a relaxed but disciplined non competitive environment have proven in studies that children participating such activities do better academically then those who don't. As an added plus: Children who participate in dance classes are also less likely to suffer major injuries on the sports field and perform better. Classes are available for kids, teens and adults. What if I am not fit and have “two left feet” with no rhythm to speak of? All levels of fitness, dance ability and ages are welcome in the Dance’Combo class. The key secret with this class: Come with an open mind and be patient with yourself. Attend all your classes, listen to your body and do what you can to the best of your own capability, with time your body will train and the more you practice dance and the exercises taught in class the better you will get. I am a strong believer in “pacing” methods and do believe that as we practice dance or any other activity daily, so our bodies develop and strengthen. Before we even know it we are well beyond our goals and two left feet have become a “right and a left”. What are some of the advantages of Dance’Combo (or Dance in general) and joining class? CategoriesAll About Dance'Age Dance Classes & Info Dance Class Tariffs Dance Days & Times Dance News As many of you know, I took some time out from teaching children dance on a full time basis from 2009. This time has given me the opportunity to grow in my other areas of interest, as a person, as an instructor and to learn many new things. However, parents have been begging for classes for their kids again and what’s more, I have been missing the enthusiasm and laughter of kids around the studio. I was going to restart my classes only during 2018, but decided that now is as good a time as any other.
As with all my other classes, these classes are designed around a syllabus, the main aim is mostly for kids & teenagers to learn how to dance but mostly to have fun in a non-competitive environment and to DANCE!. My main focus in these classes are mostly Modern Dance combined with other styles such as Hip Hop, Street Dance, Belly Dance, etc.... Best effort is made to keep the classes Unisex and boys are more than welcome to join the fun. I have also decided not to become affiliated with any dance organizations. My goal with these classes are for children to learn dance in a relaxed environment and to enjoy and not to have any obligations on having to pass exams or to exceed in performance during competitions. In my opinion children have enough responsibility to achieve in their academics, sports fields and other activities and just like adults need a place where they can relax and enjoy. That's the news for today. I already have a few kids and teens lined up and am really looking forward to starting classes on 26 April. Happy Dancing! Evelyn |
